Band Biography

History of the band

With passionate stadium rock anthem songs, it is only a matter of time before we hear more about these 5 best friends. You are drawn in by their original honest raw energy but it’s still possible to compare the eclectic musical influence between them.
Ranging from Springsteen, Bowie to U2, Matchbox 20 to Pearl Jam to Bon Jovi & the more recently homegrown James Bay and Coldplay. The Richmond Band are now on the verge of releasing their first major album , Fallen Angels.
Having already gained positive support & feedback from an array of Radio Stations in the UK & US, Industry professionals, DJs and even a Hollywood Movie Star, Richmond Band look set to deliver a very impressive debut album to launch them into the mainstream.Their journey so far has taken them from their London, Hertfordshire & Essex music circuit, from local festivals to supporting Sean Ryder at the Indigo in the 02, to an L.A Music Awards nomination & playing the famous Whiskey in L.A, to performing in Nashville, New York, Seattle, to meeting & making Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson a fan after a chance encounter in Vancouver, Canada. The band first formed when Essex school friends Paul Richmond, Peter Pouros, Darren Clark & Reed Fisher began to write their own songs in Paul’s parents garage. Surrounded by egg boxes, old bits of carpet and the hidden family drinks cabinet the songs started to come.
After Darren and Reed decided music was not for them, Paul & Peter found Robert Mooney, a very talented guitarist/writer who had moved down from Glasgow, Scotland and was looking to create and be part of an original band.
A great friendship & natural songwriting team quickly developed & soon they were gigging as an acoustic trio with Paul on lead vocals and Peter & Robert on guitars.
Under the name TRUSK, they recorded their first 4 track LP. Richmond was the name decided upon during this writing & development period. Paul, Peter & Rob have been fortunate enough to play with some very talented  bass players and drummers but it wasn’t until a bad car accident when Peter was unable to play for nearly 3 years that Paul & Robert met the ( Hertfordshire & North London)  gifted Drummer Darren Wardle. A strong friendship and writing relationship grew and a new exciting sound began to form. While Peter recovered from his severely injured arm he met the very talented and creative Essex Bass player, Chris Percy, bringing the final piece to The Richmond Band together.
